. How to create a topic.
To create a thread/topic, press this button:
In the 'Subject:' field, enter your topic's subject or an appropriate thread title. The 'Message:' field, is where you type your message or post.
Before you decide to press 'Post Message', you may want to look at what options you have before posting. Consider a 'Spell Check' or previewing your post (by pressing the 'Preview' button) before deciding to post your new topic.

To reply to a thread, you can press this button: or you also have the option to scroll down to the bottom of the page where there is usually (as you cannot reply to 'locked' threads) an empty 'Quick Reply' field.
If you want to reply to a particular post, you have the option of quoting. With each post is a 'Quote' button, which works quite like the 'reply' button, but displays the other users post with your post.

The Private Messaging system allows member to send a message to another member without anyone else reading it.
To do this, simply find this image in another members mini-profile:
Click on the image and the PM messaging screen should open up. There are several other ways to send a private message but as you begin posting, I'm sure you will find them.

If you want to modify your profile, you can either click on the profile button in the top menu or you can click on your username, [#username], which will take you to your profile page. From there, click on the 'Modify Profile' link. After making changes, remember to scroll down and click on the 'Modify Profile' button, in order to save the changes that you made.

. How to add an avatar.
To add an avatar to your profile, you need to first visit your profile and click on the 'Modify Profile' link. From there, scroll down until you see the avatar option fields.
There are limited and generic avatars available to choose from in the drop-down menu, but you may use your own custom avatar. If you have an image URL already, you can paste it into the 'Avatar URL:' field.
The text to the right of the Avatar fields will tell you that your avatar may not exceed 100x100 pixels. This information is FALSE, our limit is 200x300 pixels.
Again, after making changes, remember to scroll down and click on the 'Modify Profile' button, in order to save the changes that you made.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD AN IMAGE TO THE INTERNET?
If you don't, it might be worth learning how to do it. It's not complicated, it's actually quite easy. To upload an image, you need to visit an image hosting site.
HERE ARE SOME CHOICES:

photobucket.com/
After browsing through your computer and uploading the image of your desire, you can then copy the URL the website gives you or a code.
Keep in mind that HTML codes will not work in posts and that only UBBC codes will.
