Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Reveal - Haggar and Phoenix

Two new characters are revealed for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

Capcom and Marvel have made two additions to the Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds roster. From Capcom's Final Fight series, we have former professional wrestler turned Metro City mayor Mike Haggar. Next, we have Phoenix (also known as Jean Grey) from Marvel's X-Men. You can check out their two introduction videos below, but there are some things of which to take note. First, Mike Haggar is awesome. Second, in the Phoenix clip, she actually turns into Dark Phoenix at one point just before Dante defeats her. Taking this alternate form appears to restore her health completely, but it then steadily drains during the course of time. We're not sure if this is something that is manually or automatically triggered, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Definitely. He's been the main character I wanted in this, AND he has his own Final Fight stage. Badass. Phoenix is cool too, these are probably my two favorites of the thirty-two that have been revealed.

Phoenix is shit too unless you can activate Dark Phoenix.

Not only is Haggar quite shit, this game isn't that great. Wish I'd purchased say Tekken 6 or WWE All-Stars instead. The core gameplay is really fun, but the core gameplay is the entire game. If it had VS CPU that'd be alright with me, but it doesn't so I'm just annoyed.

I got bored of it quickly, too. I didn't buy it though!

Yeah I knew I shouldn't of bought it like I knew I shouldn't buy Smackdown vs Raw 2011 but I bought them both anyway. Really sucks when I think about how I passed by Vanquish, Front Mission Evolved, Dead Space 2, and other games I'd love to own TWICE for what in weeks became junk to me. I've played SvR like once since the first two months I had it. It just seemed so much worse than I remembered. MvC3 atleast is still playable, but without a Player 2, not for long.

There are games like that where you feel you need to buy them and after not very long, you find yourself not playing them. You can always enjoy a good shooter.

Almost always. When your stuck on one of the HUGE bosses, Lost Planet 2 loses its appeal as they're meant to be battled online with three friends and I can't do that and of course the CPU on my team suck so I have to do all the work. Other than that it's always fun.

I love being able to run around freely and work out strategies to take out a boss. Plus, you just get straight up action (with a shooter).

Yeah but the only real strategy in Lost Planet 2 is shoot the boss in the orange spots (any part of its body thats orange is a target) and run when it starts attacking. Still fun, just a bit annoying at times as well.
