Occasionally, rather than all of the time: "sometimes I want to cry".
Synonyms:
occasionally - at times - once in a while - now and then
Lmao. They would use that as an example.
At times = not all the time = not a lot.

Actually if you refer back to my post
Some times/ from time to time / every so often / once in awhile /
As you see, once in a while would simply just lead to now and then, another way to say sometimes. All you did was add three times with which you'd say sometimes, making sometimes even more than it already was.
