I'm not going to bother listing heaps of games, I just listed the games that I thought might get the most votes.
FPR for me. It's a fun game to play, the roster is massive, edit mode is excellent. The gameplay is quite deep. It's just a lot of fun.
Back when I was younger though, WWF Wrestlemania 2000 was the be-all and end-all. My brother and I played it for hours. We actually never got WWF No Mercy and I ended up buying it years later. When it came out I said to my brother that we should get it and he said that it wasn't any good. As if he knew that!

WCW/NWO Revenge would be by far my favorite of the N64 titles. If Arcade games count, Wrestlefest has always been in my top wrestling games. Saturday Night Slammasters/Muscle Bombers I don't know if it's considered North American but it was released here so I'd count that too, though it doesn't have any real wrestlers a few are very identical to real ones.
I don't know if these are the best, but their the ones I liked the best.

It's based more I what you liked and got the most enjoyment out of. Any game that was released in North America is acceptable.

WWF No Mercy. My brother and I used to rent this game a lot and play it all the time. That was many years ago though.

I have the faulty WWF No Mercy. I'm playing WCW vs. The World. It was a good game once and it has a heck of a roster. I bought WCW/nWo World Tour today!

My family would play all the wrestling games from WWE, WWF ect. So wrestling is a big part of my life, and my familys life. Sure i grew out of it a bit. i don't watch it hardly anymore because i'd rather be on the computer. But whenever their is a live show to go watch i'm always all fr it. I love going to live events, those are amazing. And my family has been in 3 companys for wresling. So my brothher and my cousin wants to be a pro.
That's what i have to say :]

I have the faulty WWF No Mercy. I'm playing WCW vs. The World. It was a good game once and it has a heck of a roster. I bought WCW/nWo World Tour today! WCW vs The World did have a good roster, but I never learned the gameplay myself. I should still have it on PS1, maybe I'll see if I can play it tomorrow. WCW/nWo World Tour I only played once or twice but I liked it. I thought it played alot like Virtual Pro Wrestling II, which you'd probably like. I have the latter on N64, my brother got it at a shop that used to sell japanese video games many years ago, it's exactly the same as Wrestlemania 2000 but with guys like Baba, Misawa and even Don Frye.

I didn't know how to do different grapple moves at first, but I looked at a faq and know how to do pretty much everything now. I unlocked everybody except The Giant and Tiger Mask as I don't know how to unlock them.
I've been playing VPW2 again. World Tour plays more like VPW 64.

I would have to go with Fire Pro Returns...for that poll anyways. For me it's WCW / nWo Revenge, I played that a couple hours ago. It's just an overall good game, I just wish I could figure out how to pin instead of knocking out or making someone submit.

That would be the correct button. Unless he meant on Fire Pro Returns. I haven't played that in long enough to remember.
