Except for those strange rare occurrences, you have to still agree that cigarettes are not thought of to be the most important element in many major crimes.
What I meant by the cigarette comment is that when drugs are legalized, and are readily available in stores where just about anyone can get it, so a lot of the "alley way" crime scene is taken out. While I know hardcore drugs like cocaine and heroin shouldn't be legalized, I think for less intense drugs the "gangland murders" you were describing would be more reduced if it was legalized.

Ya there's plenty of gangland murders here in this country all because of drugs. There are head shops over here and they sell stuff very similar to drugs. No one wants them except for the people who want to get high. The drug gangs have smashed a few of them up because they are taking away the "customers" from them.
Anyway I still think illegal drugs cause way too much trouble.

The only murders I can imagine being stopped by legalizing drugs is that of police or people threatening to call police. Dealers stealing customers from each other is more where drug related (violent) crime starts, and why would that change with how legal the drug is? And I fully support legalizing all drugs, but thats my thoughts there. Cocaine and Heroin is where the money is at. I don't see much more people trying either of those because their legal. Kids/teens usually try illegal drugs simply because they are illegal. Adults who aren't already addicted to them should definitely know the harms these drugs cause by now, hard to imagine many of them starting to use them because their legalized. The benefits to the economy really outweigh any negatives you could throw at this "issue." And all the negatives I've heard are easily debatable.

That second paragraph really summarised some thoughts that I have on the matter. All I have to do is think something and Danny says it for me.
