Freeway chops it up about his upcoming album and why it's "real Hip Hop."
This November, Freeway will return with his first studio album on Babygrande Records Diamond in the Ruff. Now, in a recent interview with Babygrande, the Philadelphia rhymer talks about his upcoming project.
Freeway described the album - which finds him reuniting with Philadelphia Freeway partners Just Blaze, Young Guru and Bink! - as "real Hip Hop." He explained that the album is grounded in his reality and features the likes of Wale and Neef Buck.
"[Fans can expect to hear] electricity, man," he said. "You know what it is - real Hip Hop. It's gonna be crazy - Just Blaze, Neef Buck, Bink!, Marsha Ambrosius, Musiq [Soulchild], Wale, Vivian Green - it's gonna be crazy…I'm a reality rapper, so I rap about things I do, things I go through, so as long as I'm moving around and I'm getting stuff to rap about, it's gonna keep going."
