Well, I've been meaning to do one of these. Anyway, I'll just answer a few questions...
"What started SWC?"
- There was a member a few years back called Rey & he had a forum called SWC (you all know this) & he boasted about his forum blah blah blah, fast forward to 2008 or 9 I started a text fed, can't remember the name & it bombed. 2 years later Rey popped up again, this time making a fool of himself so I decided to spam his forums under various accounts, I started posting made up wrestling results, at the time I was intending to spam. But Rey liked it & I decided to turn it into a text-fed.
"Does SWC stand for anything?"
- No, nothing at all. The closest thing I could come up with was Sports Wanking Community. But nah...
"How much thought goes into these shows?"
- Surprisingly a lot. I mean, half the time it's like, is this doable? Do I like this? Sometimes there are storylines that I think, 'too far' & then just gets scrapped. Looking back I think I should do more storylines or promos rather than just plonking in random matches.
"OK. Is SWC supposed to be serious? What is SWC?"
- No, SWC was never supposed to be a serious text-fed, infact it was meant to be a piss-take of what current wrestling is, text-fed & actual wrestling. Turn back to the first #1 contenders match, would any wrestler past or present hit another one with a dildo? SWC is more a text-fed rather than an e-fed. I personally prefer to do it this way, rather than do it e-fed style tbh.
"Are you gonna put real wrestlers in SWC?"
- No, I'd prefer if it was gimmicky & silly. How can you take the piss out of current wrestling with real wrestlers?
"How do you come up with characters?"
- Some are mainly from me watching telly & thinking... You know, they'd make good wrestlers! Of course some of the wrestlers are sort of lost because they're mainly British TV personalities.
"Of course there are fictional characters, how did you come up with these?"
- Well, I'll go through them. The idea of George was come up with when I first went to school. George was someone we knew of, but everyone of my friends thought he liked fashion & make-up etc. Years later George came more into the social circle & I asked him, "do you like fashion?" He didn't. Mumford was a character of a comic strip in a PS1 magazine, he would always do something stupid & manage to get himself hurt. Captain Carpentry was based on a sarcastic remark, after a kid in my class would always criticise someone's word & go into detail, but he would 9 times out of 10 screw up his own work, of course "Captain Carpentry" sounds like a superhero doesn't it? Trevor Rent is based off the idea of a sponging agent who's pretty crap at his job. The rest are all from movies/TV/videogames.
"What now?"
- I think that maybe others can write their very own text-feds, create their own characters, feuds, storylines & whatnot.
"What are we gonna expect from SWC?"
- A LOT more silliness, swearing & a VERY lazy creative behind it.
