Gucci Mane receives six month jail sentence after being charged with firearm possession, disorderly conduct, and more.
From Twitter rants to shopping mall brawls to a handful of arrests and court appearances, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has had quite the year, and it now appears that the 1017 Brick Squad Records founder may spend the rest of the year in jail.
According to a document obtained by Rap Radar, Gucci was hit with a number of charges following his September 14 arrest; among those charges were firearm possession by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession, and more.
As a result of his parole violations, the Trap House III rapper was then sentenced to 183 days in jail.
Today’s news follows a string of legal woes Gucci Mane has dealt with over the past year. In March of this year, the Atlanta police department issued an arrest warrant for Gucci after he allegedly attacked a solider during his Trap Back 2 release party. Just weeks after his release party incident, the rapper was again taken into custody due to a probation violation.
On top of his various legal woes, Gucci also gained notoriety this year due to his numerous feuds, particularly his feud with former associate Waka Flocka Flame. The rapper even attempted to sell Waka’s contract for $1 million via Twitter.
Most recently, Gucci garnered attention when he engaged in a Twitter rant, which targeted Waka, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and a handful of other artists. He later attributed his erratic behavior to a lean addiction.
