I went to a national protest up in Dublin yesterday about the doubling of reg fees and the cutting of grants. All the colleges in Ireland were represented even Queens from Belfast . There was 40000 people there not 25000 as stated. It went really well I marched and I think we made our point. We marched to the Dáil (government buildings) but then a bit of trouble happened and that's of course what got reported on. www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2010/1103/breaking20.htmlAnyway so if they double reg fees to €3000 here alot of the country who do not get the grant because they are not eligable for it won't be able to pay the fees therefore being forced to drop out of college and go on the dole becuase jobs here are not so easy to come by. Is this not making it rich people vs everyone else. That's the way I see it. Everyone has a right to be educated.

I do think that everybody should have the option to go to college/university, but money talks and bullshit walks. So many people miss out on things and can't follow their dreams because they can't pay.

There are more that are poor than rich. Most of us just have to live this way and there are a lot of people who are even worse off than what we are.

Yeah. See this out of people's hands and it doesn't necessarily make a difference who people vote for, the Government do what they do.
